I used to have a blog post about a horrible experience with The Church of Scientology that uprooted my entire life for about a month back in 2007. That post disappeared at some point, and I don’t know why. I can’t even find it in the Internet Archive.
It’s even in a screenshot of my old blog design from that year:

I know these people are insane and trigger-happy with legal actions and hacking people, but I didn’t think I’d be relevant enough to target. But I’ve never noticed another post just disappear from my site before this, so I’m baffled.
I’ll eventually attempt to re-tell this bizarre story from memory and whatever evidence I can recover, but this post will hold my attempt to piece the original article back together.

The Post, Re-Assembled from Pieces
It turns out the Church of Scientology screwed over 3 or 4 other guys the same way as they did with me. They’re trying to get as much free/cheap labor
Hey Belinda,
Things didn’t go so well with the job. I was all set to move up there on Sunday, so I called them before I was going to leave to tell them I’d be up there later that day. When I called them, they seemed puzzled and told me they thought I wasn’t coming up. Long story short, they mislead me and the staffing company so they could get cheap labor out of us. They did the same thing with a few others after they did it to me. So right now, I’m staying with Kati working things out. I got called back for that porn site job and did a second interview for them, so I should get an offer from them soon 🙂 I hope. I was taken back at my old job, so I should be okay either way.
If I don’t get that Tucson job, I would like to move back in with you if that’d be okay 🙂 I’ll let you know what happens.
