I worked with the Marketing department to completely redesign the entire bank web site. This included the extremely complex inner portions where the customer could login, view their statements, sign up for new services, apply for credit, etc. It was a huge undertaking for our two-man coding team, but it turned out fantastic.
The Method
The entire site has been converted from HTML3/CSS1 with the extremely dated 800×600 format to HTML4 (HTML5-ready), PHP, jQuery, and CSS3. The new design has been received very well and all of the added functionality allowed the bank to capitalize on the new premium services they could now offer.
While working on this project, I taught my co-coder advanced CSS tricks, while he taught me some PHP and started me on my love affair with jQuery.
