While I was driving back from my honeymoon, I was excited to stop by a dispensary as soon as I crossed the California border again. I stopped by Ontana Planet Green in Needles, CA to replace my depleted (and in some cases melted) stock. They had a couple brands and edibles that I haven’t seen in the bay area yet, so I selected a handful of Koma Kandyz Lollipops to try out.
Of all the flavors I tried, my favorite were the Key Lime and Cherry Cola. Honorable mention for Root Beer though. All of them tasted pretty great, like a lollipop I might buy just for flavor with a slight pot taste. The colors aren’t as bright as a standard lolli, but they still look fairly pretty. They’re also not overly (cloyingly) sweet, which I really like.
My only negative comment regards potency. They say on the label that they have about 50mg of THC in them, but it felt a lot more like 15-20mg to me. This is just a subjective impression of course.
I like edibles with smaller doses in them anyway, since I can use them to “re-up” and maintain the effects of a stronger edible when it starts to wane. And lollipops are a slow release kind of edible, so it’s very much like how I might nurse a single beer over an hour at the end of a night of hard liquor (I know, I know. I shouldn’t compare medicine to recreational substances… blah blah blah).
They were also pretty cheap, so I would grab another handful of them next time I see them and just keep them in the fridge until that niche moment arrives.
On the whole, I really liked Koma Kandyz Lollipops and would recommend them just after Kiva’s TERRA Espresso Beans for a manageable, great-tasting, low-potency edible.
