Sup everybody!
As you guys may know I quit my job at Olive Garden and have been working at my school Tech Department. This has allowed me to work on my artwork a lot more.
I recently had an interview with the local game studio Flashbang Studios. They gave me a lot of great input on my flatbook and gave me awesome notes. Since then I’ve applied for an internship at Rainbow Studios. They don’t make the kind of games I really like, but I think they’d be great experience for me, and they’d give me a head start over my competitors.
So basically, I’m hoping against hope that I get this internship. I’m going to be contacting Blizzard pretty soon to see if I can get a phone interview or at least see if a rep wants to come see my Portfolio Review in August.
I’m graduating in September and I’m psyched. If anyone knows anyone who knows anyone who knows anyone that can help me get a game design job, I’d very much appreciate them as a contact ^^
OK so overall, I’m broke as hell (Tech pays 6.50 an hour 🙁 like half what I made before) and getting a lot better at my art. I guess this is what it means to be a starving artist!
I updated my web site too. So visit www.CorryArt.com if you wanna check it out!
Things at home are a little shaky with the wifey, but what else is new ^^ She’s still pretty awesome. My puppy is still the best doggy in the world. My parents are doing ok from what I hear. The Steelers won the super bowl XD. So everything is pretty good at the moment.
Except for the starving part =P
Let me know if anyone needs some graphics, business cards, or 3D models. I can use all the extra scratch I can get ^^
Hope everyone reading this is happy and prosperous!
