Music is in a really weird place right now… Rap has sucked for the last year and a half or so… All the rock music I’ve heard for the past year has been the same… There’s all this whiny Emo/Punk crap with guys whining about their mommy grounding them… There’s not a decent Pop song in sight. But for some reason, all these little sub-genres are getting kinda cool. I’ve been listening to alot of Techno fusion stuff lately and I really like it… Basement Jaxx especially… They’re frickin awesome. And there’s a few cool Alternative (that’s what I call it at least) stuffs coming out, too… The Killers, the new Beastie Boys stuff, The Streets, and Franz Ferdinand are kinda cool. There’s others, but my playlist is frickin jumbled… And finally… Dance music kicks ass right now. It seems to be more original than ever… or maybe I’m just finding the coolest stuff… I dunno. Just listen to Sirius Radio’s Area 63 and you’ll hear alot of cool stuff. The new Oakenfold and Ian Van Dahl CD’s are really cool tho. And, of course, you can never go wrong with Ferry Corsten or George Acosta if you don’t already have em. Otherwise, I’m just listening to 2+ year old Hip Hop and 4+ year old Rock… Nobody probably cares bout this stuff, but I think I have good taste, so maybe you guys wanna check some of this stuff out.
