New Features

This version features a brand-new home page that emphasizes and promotes our array of regularly posted content. Message Systems prides itself on supporting and informing their clients and soon-to-be clients about everything going on in the digital messaging world. We are constantly on the bleeding edge of technology and do our best to make it accessible to everyone. This new design provides our clients with a hub to find all the latest news, products, and free research materials we offer.

Message Systems employs many of the world’s best in nearly every technical field. With our new blog, everyone can share some of their insight with regular posts from the people that are shaping the digital communications industry for the present and future.

The re-launch greatly expands the amount of content featured on the site, including solution briefs and a solution-centric approach to content delivery, beginning right on the home page. Better yet, we’ve upgraded how that content is presented and it’s been organized with easier, more intuitive navigation. Additionally, we have moved to a new, more flexible content management platform, WordPress, giving us much greater scalability for future development of the site and better control over our SEO efforts.

The Method

The entire site has been converted from HTML4/CSS/Flash using the MovableType CMS to HTML5-ready PHP, jQuery, and more efficient CSS using the WordPress CMS for simplified blog management. This change has taken much of the maintenance of the site out of the hands of an outside contractor and brought it in-house, saving money. We now have faster turnaround on site changes, more control over the site’s appearance, and architecture that will allow for easy expansion in the future.

Design changes included cleaning up the layout, changing the logo, and improving User Experience. Most of these design changes were done by our staff Graphic Designer and coded by me. The site is continuously being upgraded, so the design should get even better as we go.
