The Architect from The Matrix Reloaded

Unconscious Choice

She stumbled upon a solution whereby nearly 99% of all test subjects accepted the program as long as they were given a choice, even if they were only aware of the choice at a near-unconscious level.

The Architect, The Matrix Reloaded

My fun side project I’m tinkering with on the side of my job search has been a The Matrix themed commander deck that I started in spirit many years ago. Because of that project, lots of scenes and quotes are coming back to mind and resonating interestingly.

I was talking to my therapist today about how it’s hard to see my life as my own and to see my choices as being freely given. I can decide to participate in capitalism and the national identity of America, or I can go to prison or die on the street. This “choice” is echoed so specifically in this quote from The Architect.

There are so many ways we’re all indoctrinated from birth in service of a few powerful people. Every aspect of American life seems to require us to be useful to someone else with more power than us.

And with forced birth becoming more and more the law of the land, it begins to echo the endless fields where the machines harvest human children to continue to power the systems that keep them imprisoned.

So yea. Happy tax season! 🤷
