This post is old and contains outdated information. I only remove harmful content and try to keep old posts visible — even if they're embarrassing or no longer relevant. I want to look back and see my growth over the years, and I don't want to hide that growth from others. Thanks for considering this as you read.

I used to have a blog post about a horrible experience with The Church of Scientology that uprooted my entire life for about a month back in 2007. That post disappeared at some point, and I don’t know why. I can’t even find it in the Internet Archive.
It’s even in a screenshot of my old blog design from that year:

I know these people are insane and trigger-happy with legal actions and hacking people, but I didn’t think I’d be relevant enough to target. But I’ve never noticed another post just disappear from my site before this, so I’m baffled.
I will eventually attempt to re-tell this bizarre story from memory and whatever evidence I can recover, but this post will hold my attempt to piece the original article back together.
