Tattoo Update

After 4 years of procrastination, I finally decided to start getting my back piece colored. I drew the original outline (below), but all the color is being done by James Joy at Tribal Tattoo in Crofton, MD.

This is just the first part of what will probably be a 3 session coloring process. We did the top portion so that I can go back in two weeks and get the bottom done without interfering with the remaining healing from this session.

I didn’t bleed as much as usual this time. James said it was because he uses a different machine that is easier on the skin.

This is what it looks like right now. I’m digging the color so far. It’s interesting to finally see color on me considering everything else I have is almost entirely black.
